Feeding the Homeless with $10.00 Subway cash cards!
When I walked 874 miles to Dandridge,Tennessee - I walked through the inner cities of Tampa, Macon, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. I walked into a lot of painful situations. I came across drug deals taking place right in front of me, police arresting people, prostitution, and a lot of homeless people just laying around on side walks, under bridges, and in parking lots.
I wanted to do something about it but I really didn't know what to do. Sometimes we can get overwhelmed with the idea of "there are so many" that we end up paralyzed and do nothing...
Then I was reminded of the story about a young boy who walked out to a beach one day and found the beach
covered in hundreds, if not thousands of star fish that had been washed a shore. He immediately started
throwing them back in the water as fast as he could when a gentleman who was watching came up to him and
said, "Son - there is no way you can save these star fish,there are too many, there’s no way you will be able to
make a difference...and the boy replied.. "It made a difference to this one!" as he picked it up and threw it
back in the water...I know the homeless situation is on the rise and it is a very big problem. I had all of those
thoughts,,, what can I do? I am just one person?...But I choose to do what I can, and I hope you will help me
make a difference in the lives that I can!

There are several ways you can be involved...
1.) Purchase a Cash Card for $10.00 at your local Subway and mail it to me ..at 2105 N.E 9th ave. Cape Coral Florida...I will personally be handing them out to the people I meet that are homeless or struggling on my walking route. You may purchase as many as you like but they have to be $10.00 each. You may write a message on them with a magic marker if you would like to.( God Bless, Jesus loves you, Praying for you, Have a Great day!, What ever you feel led to do)
2.) You choose to just send a donation marked "Homeless Out Reach" and I will purchase your Cash Cards for you..$10.00 will feed someone lunch and dinner.
3.) You may help me hand the cards out when I am in your city... I will keep the web site that is set up for these walks ( below) updated as to where I will be in the U.S... You can personally be involved with your family and friends.
4.) Pray for the lives I will come in contact with...
